- ACTA. Last week was shadowed by the news that bunch of countries, with most of EU (including Lithuania), signed ACTA, which threatens freedom Internet. Hopefully, ACTA will not be ratified by EU parliament in June and in Europe we will see the same scenario as with SOPA and PIPA in USA. Lithuanians - join STOP-ACTA.LT
- LT Game Jam 2012 (part Global Game Jam) took place in Hub Vilnius. According to organizers:
- The event was the most successful and the biggest
LT Game Jam so far, with more than 40
participant, from whom youngest was only 12 y/o (check out his game The Run).
- 14 games were created, including: one board
game, one MMO: SphereMoo and games like Lucifis. See photos of the creation process from the event here.
LT startupers meetup. Enterprise
Lithuania organized awesome meetup for Lithuanian startupers on
the 31st flours of business
center "Europa". During the event talked founders of Eskimi "Path
towards world class product. 5 million users", BeeDo.net "Project
management: main mistakes and how to avoid them" and Startup Montlhy Vilnius 2012. Enterprise Lithuania presented startup
support measures and events
for 2012, among them probably the coolest initiative was Startup Nitro (followed
by by coffee break with great cookies and cake:). Startup Nitro, presented
by Danielius Stasiulis, management consultant from Civitta ("Analytics and
Management Consulting in the Baltics and beyond"), is a support package
for innovative startups from Lithuania. These packages consist of:
1. 30 hours of professional consulting services from Civitta,
2. networking - help finding experts, partners, funding,
