BFF - Denmark And Lithuanian

Talking about good neighbors - probably doesn't get better than Denmark for Lithuania. Denmark educates young Lithuanians in their awesome universities (officially 3rd choice for Lithuanians to study abroad after UK and Germany, around 1000 students per year chose Denmark), buy Lithuanian products and services, and yes - even build their own companies in Lithuania. Of course the gain is mutual, but it's Lithuania who receives one of the biggest shares of its foreign direct investment from friendly Denmark - around 1 billion euros just in 2010.

Danish companies need help investing all this money - that's where Danish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania (DCC) enters the stage. And recently, DCC announced a new initiative - 'The Danish Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Innovation Award' for the best Lithuanian innovations:
"For the award we are seeking for the best Lithuanian ideas and innovations. The best technical  wonders, the most innovative designs or the brightest concepts ready for implementation – and with a global mind.
DCC wants to let our members get into contact with the best talents and ideas in Lithuania - to let our members be inspired and see new opportunities. This is why we invite both DCC members and the innovative Lithuanian teams to meet. Some of the project ideas presented at the demo day will as well be uploaded in short on our web on www.dcc.lt/other-activities/innovation-network - please keep an eye and follow what will be of news."

DCC will arrange a demo day the 20th of March and the innovation conference the 8th of May. 5 nominated teams will make a presentation at DCC conference and the winner will be awarded a tailor made trip to Denmark.

Wait, it gets better. DCC also came up with "INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL / INVESTMENT DAY – IN VILNIUS":
"Baltic Property Trust (BPT) and the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania (DCC) invite everybody to join the international capital / investment day in Vilnius 29th of February.
This event is the first of its kind and will be a yearly tradition inviting both Lithuanian and international speakers and introduce and discuss themes related to financing and investing - through funds, traditional methods, new tools for investments and what it takes to attract funding for growth and innovation in Lithuania.
This event will, as always, be an excellent opportunity for networking."

Thanks Denmark! :)
